Review:
I know, I know. I have more than sufficient blushes, but I just cannot resist it, especially when StrawberryNet is having an unboxed special on it. Anyway, I was torn between the 2 colour choices available and went to MUA to check out the reviews. Gossamer was the winner with 100% repurchase rate.

I was worried that Gossamer might be too bright (the bright pink scared me) but upon receiving, my worries were unfounded. I tried applying it (a flat top brush lightly swirled on the surface) and the result was a light pinkish glow on my NC30 skintone. The hot pink stripe actually helped to brighten up my face and adding a little healthy pink to it. Adding another layer of the swirled colours brightens up my face. It is easy to overdo it though, so go light and add as you go along. Remember, it’s always easy to add on than to remove when it comes to makeup.

It is now my go-to blush! Sorry Shu Uemura M Pink 33E!

Rating: 4.5/5

Would I buy again: Yes, but seeing how little I use each time, I probably won’t need to buy it again.

Price/pack size: S$9.90 (offer price)

Available at: Watsons

Ingredients:

Description: The Shimmer Duo Blusher pairs matte and shimmer shades to illuminate your features. The matte blush can be used for shading and contouring, whilst the shimmer shade can be used for highlighting. When used together, you can see an instant glow on your face at once. Its ultra-fine texture makes blending a dream. Oil-free and fragrance-free.

Review: I actually bought this duo blusher (04 Sunny Glow) when they first launched it and Watsons was having a promotion on it. I still love it for its natural look. The brush is crap (as with all blush brush that comes with the package), so chuck it and use your own quality brush for great results. The powder picks up well and is soft on the skin. Truth be told, I’m quite surprised by the quality of the blush, considering the brandname and the price! The shimmer is not too over the top (I can use it alone for some highlight), complementing the blush colour.

Review: I managed to score these 3 blushes for cheap on the local EDM-LJ community. No sifters and those jars don’t seem to be the original ones, but that’s fine by me. Beats paying more and waiting for the samples to arrive from US. *Funny thing that EDM does not have samples for blushes, so we’re forced to get the minis, even if we only want to try the colours*

As you can see from the swatch, Apple is the darkest on me – I’ll have to be extremely light handed with it, lest I have a baboon’s ass on my cheeks. Nick Nack appears to be a light pink, a natural flush on my cheeks. Best Friends is great for a natural no-makeup look, being a little peachy on me. Apple & Best Friends have the tendency to turn orange if you buff too much.

Among the three shades, I prefer Nick Nack as it’s easy to use and match. No worries about going overboard as well. One thing to note is that EDM blushes do not break me out, so that’s a plus!

Rating: 4/5 (-1 for not being able to test samples)

Would I buy again: Yes, in other colours!!

Mineral blush craze period!

I don’t know what has gotten into me, but I’m loving mineral makeup blushers lately. I’m looking for 1/4tsp samples so I could test the colours, please let me know if you have the following colours!

Everyday Minerals
Apple

Apple is a stunning matte rosy pink shade, with a delightful autumn apple undertone, which applies beautifully for everyday elegance

All Smiles

Matte yet radiant, this rosy peach blush deepens to coral at the warmth of your skin. For a sassy touch, use as a lip color. Women of every skintone will be all smiles when they see the subtle boost to their natural glow

Best Friends

Give your cheeks a soft bloom of charming color with this silky-matte mauve blush sweetened with tones of delicate rose. Turn to Best Friends to add beauty and life to your complexion, and to your day!

Nick Nack

Sweet and innocent, Nick Nack is a neutral pink with a matte finish that lends a soft, youthful glow to cheeks. Perfect for creating a natural look, it can even be layered over darker shades to add dimension, making “everyday” extraordinary.

Snuggle

Snuggle is a radiant pink with a flattering peach undertone. It applies sheerly but can be layered on to give a cozy, luminescent glow that’s great on any skin tone

Walkee Talkee

A berry pink shade with a kiss of peach. It twinkles softly with fine flecks of silver, imparting a rosy sheen to light up your complexion. Compliments all colours of skin and makeup beautifully & looks gorgeous on cheeks, lips, and eyes.

DVR Saturday

A charming medium baby pink shade with an unexpected hint of silver sheen makes this the perfect blush for that upcoming occasion. Also use as a lip color, and this Saturday they won’t be able to keep their eyes off of you!

Review: I decided to swap for this after seeing so many girls wanting to lay their hands on this. And now I realise why they want it so badly. It gives a nice shimmer to your face, and you can even skip blusher if you want to. I wouldn’t buy it again though coz one MSF can last pretty long! I only use 2 swipes on each cheek.

Almost half a year of owning this product, I realised that I haven’t been loving this MSF as much as some other girls would. I much prefer my Jane Blushing Glow or Lumiere’s True Radiance MMU. Thus I sold it off to someone who loves this more than I do. Sadly, the girl feedbacked to me that the casing doesn’t hold up well as the cover hinge has cracked while in transit, despite me using bubble wrap. =( Luckily, the product is still intact.
