Item Reviewed: Yes to Tomatoes facial wash

Price/pack size: 100ml tube.

Ingredients: See here for ingredients

Description: We know it’s hard to keep your skin balanced and clear. That’s why our Trouble-free Facial Wash contains organic watermelon extract to remove excess oils and other impurities.

We’ve added purifying Dead Sea Minerals and the powerful anti-oxidant Lycopene from organic tomatoes to maintain your skin’s pH balance while it gently cleanses and refreshes your skin. Now you’re ready to show off to the world!

Review: The Yes to Tomatoes range is meant for oily to combination skin. Texture of the facial wash is a cross between a gel and a lotion and it lathers up pretty well and cleanses my combination skin good in Perth autumn weather.

However, I don’t fancy the weird smell, but then again, I don’t like artificial fragrance in almost all my skincare products.

Rating: 3/5

Would I buy again: No, unless they take out the fragrance ingredient.

Description:
Your eyes are the window to your soul, but sometimes we need a bit of help to tell our story. Time to reach for a miracle!

Our lightweight Eye Love Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel is rich in calming organic cucumbers and Spirulina, a renowned source of vitamins and nutrients to help reduce puffiness and brighten dark circles, while adding a cooling zest to your day!

Review: Okie, I’ve been trialling the Yes To Cucumbers eye gel for a while now and I really do like how light it is. It’s a gel so it does not give me any problems like eye creams (too rich, too oily, too this, too that). But I do not really like how it contains fragrance. As you’d have known, I’m not a big fan of fragrances.

It does give a cooling sensation when applied and it absorbs quickly! I won’t be able to tell if my dark circles are lightened yet, but I’ll certainly keep using it! After all, it’s never too late to invest in a good skincare regime!

Description: Super nourishing and conditioning Lip Butters come in 5 delicious flavors

Review: The YTC products arrived at a time when I was looking to increase my collection of lip balms exponentially *hehe*.The texture of the balms was a winner for me, I really liked that they were waxy, and not oily. Some people like oily balms but I prefer waxy because waxy stays on my lips longer and I prefer the matte finish. It also helps to moisturize my lips just so I do not need to keep re-applying. Throughout many sips of water, I still feel the balm on my lips. SCORE! I also like the colour coded tubes… they just look so pretty all together.

Mint flavour – I wasn’t a big fan of mint lipbalms, and after using it once (because I misplaced my Berry flavoured one), proved that I really cannot, and don’t like mint lippies. My lips were extremely dry and peely after using the Mint once in the morning. I was so desperate for my other lipbalms. But it could just mean that I can’t use Mint, not that there’s anything wrong with the formula, because all mint balms (regardless of brands) fail me.

Berry flavour – smells of sweet berries, but not overly strong. Moisturizes my lips back to its original condition (soft and supple.. haha!) after 3 nights of using them. I lost mine after a day’s use (might have rolled under the bed or something!) and bought it again. Love it too much!

Carrot flavour – it smells nothing like carrots, which is good cos raw carrots are yucky. They have the same soft texture which isn’t too oily and give the same results as Berry flavour (soft lips). It doesn’t have a strong scent so I use it for the night.

Melon flavour – This is right up there with Berry flavour! Despite me having tons of balms, I went right ahead and bought this flavour off the shelf (YTC are not available in all Watsons, got mine from Raffles City). I have this in my makeup pouch which I bring to work and apply it every 2 hours, or as regularly as I want to smell its sweet (honeydew) melon scent.

Yes to Carrots… YES!

I received a surprise parcel from YTC US a few days ago… I’ve filled up a questionnaire previously and have totally forgotten about it. In fact, I thought the questionnaire was a dud. Imagine my surprise when I received a FedEx package that contains…

p140209_1119

3 lip butters (Berry, Carrot & Mint – the mint flavour is with my sister)
Yes to Carrots day & night cream (2 sachets each)
Yes to Carrots body butter (a full sized one!!!)
Yes to Tomatoes facial wash (1 sachet)
Yes to Tomatoes face moisturzer (2 sachets)
Yes to Cucumbers soothing eye gel (2 sachets)

I’m really psyched to try the new products! Gosh… so many products (I’ve yet to use the Xmas goodies Tine gave me!) but only one face…

Thanks Jeremy!! I’ll be sure to write reviews of YTC products soon!
