Be a savvy beauty consumer!

If you live on the internet, you get exposed to lots of information and new product news. Most probably, you will also shop online. New products may sound interesting and you may be tempted to buy just one box/pc/pack to try and see how it goes for you. However, Internet is not policed by anyone and it is important to do research and know what exactly you’re paying for. Over the last couple of weeks, there have been reports of teen girls falling sick after consuming F-cup breast enhancement cookies. The weird thing though, is that I saw Sasa still retailing the cookies even after the articles have been published! I think the retailers should also play their part to be vigilant and react to industry news and warnings. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

New widget

This is non-beauty related, but something which I hope to appeal to all.

There’s a new widget offered by WordPress and it’s known as SocialVibe. I remember posting something about the whaling industry on my other blog and I really feel strongly about the issue because I was at the Whale museum in Western Australia and went through the process of how people whaled in the past. To say the least, it was gruesome and horrifying. And this is why I have chosen to help Whaleman foundation.

It doesn’t cost you anything. All the money donated will be coming from PowerBar (my chosen sponsor). I have worked with the people from PowerBar before (or rather, the people behind the company who brought PowerBar to Singapore) and I can see that they’re a bunch of passionate people.

Fighting the horrible aging monster

It’s funny how I’m only 23, but I’m afraid of aging and getting wrinkles. Perhaps the 2 older women in my family (mum & sis) made me worry much. But anyway, I’ve started on collagen, calcium pills, vitamin C to fight viruses, anti-acne pills for the long battle with P.acnes, and berry essences to keep my eyes bright and healthy. Phew. Quite a mouthful eh?
