Gmarket seller: 제이드클럽

Sis started shopping on Gmarket Korea (with much help from me on deciphering the product model and colour) and surprisingly, it arrived really quickly!

Ordered date: 13 Feb 2012
Shipped out from Korea date: 15 Feb 2012
Received in SG date: 17 Feb 2012
Cost (incl. overseas shipping): W45,340
Estimated weight / actual weight: 1.20kg / 1.05kg

And as usual, we have the option to enter the sender’s name, so no surprises who I wished was sending me the parcel. LOL. Talking about which, I attended their Super Show 4 concert in Singapore on 18 Feb 2012, and it was fantastic! I got super good seats, like they were just in front of me. Totally screamed my head off. Ahem.

My sister is a shoe fanatic, and so she got herself 2 pairs of heels to justify her clearing out the old shoes. This time, she bought shoes from 제이드클럽

Yes, the shoes are of the same design, but different colour and different heel height. Sizing fits true. If you’re interested to get the same pair of shoes, here’s the link.

Here’s what I ordered for her.

사이즈= size

품명/색상= product name/colour

굽 = heel (height)

레오파드 = leopard

For colours, please refer to my previous tutorial, How to shop on Gmarket.

Cosmic nails

Black & Silver nails...

It’s almost Chinese New Year but I’m sporting black & silver nails… think it’s pretty cool… reminds me of outer space!

Used:

  • (base for the black nails) Skin Food Nail Vita BW705
  • (base for the silver nails) Anna Sui #004 – this is already silver glitter
  • (glitter overlay for black nails) Orly Shine on Craze Diamond

i just can’t stop myself

i know, i know. i’m sucha product whore. whoever shouts HG about anything to clear acne, i wanna try. sheesh. here’s my latest list…

Ly-Na Pearl Cream- But hey! more than 3 beauty bloggers have raved about it… now, given their ‘expertise’ in beauty products, i think there’s some truth to this pearl cream eh? Besides, pearl powder is known to be good for clearing up acne AND lightening spots! AND it’s cheap!! I think it’s about S$8 for a tub? Doesn’t matter if it doesn’t work, just use it up on your knees or elbows!

EGF何首烏睫毛眉毛增長液 – it’s a lash growth serum, something like talika. i figured that it’s worth a try since it’s only about S$25 or so… much cheaper than S$80+ for talika!

Mentholatum Acnes acne gel & sunblock. This range by Mentholatum (yeah, the cute milkmaid logo) has been widely raved in many Asian countries! It contains anti-bacterial ingredients to help cleanse, prevent & work against acne.

Pity they’re almost non-existent in SG. But I found a source that sells the products for S$18-S$20.

Kiss Me Concealer for dark circles! Looks realllllly good! Only S$22

Utena whitening mask, foundation & sunblock. Sis is so in lurvvvvvee with this brand. Says that its sunblock really helps to lighten the freckles on her cheekbone, and makes a great makeup base too. Non-oily (yea, I’ve tried!). Basic Beauty has the products, but they’re more expensive than my supplier! Eeks! I can get these at about S$18! The SPF18 creams contain medicinal herbs, and they can be used as a makeup base. Talk about being multi-functional!

Make Up Brushes. I have the Kabuki Brush, and I absolutely lurve it to BITS! So so soft!!

from Benefit:

we have Benefit here, but i’m all for buying from overseas. whatever saves me money!

from POP Beauty:

from kit cosmetics:

blogging about this makes me miss Chin from Kit Cosmetics! she used to be a manager at Lush Garden City, then she went to Sydney to pursue a career as a makeup artist, after which she came back to Perth and worked at Kit Cosmetics Myer! it was nice bumping into her again and telling her how good her service was. she gives the best skincare & makeup advice as she’s also asian, she understands my woes and skin!

food on skin?

as usual, i was browsing through the various beauty forums, blogs and MakeUpAlley which I frequent on a daily basis, and came across this very interesting ‘product’ review. YOGURT. Yup, edible yogurt. Of course, I wouldn’t put the flavoured ones on my skin (there’s sugar in there… not sure if it’s really good with all that flavourings on your skin too). Ladies on MUA actually use yogurt as a facial mask, to help take away the nasty flakies that winter brings, to help soothe and calm down inflamed skin, to moisturise oily skin gently,

I researched a little further and found these interesting websites.

Yogurt… Another beauty food

Yogurt skincare

I’d love to eat yogurt (I’m actually a big fan of dairy products, but am now lactose intolerant), it does all kinds of good stuff for your skin and body. =(

More interesting ‘recipes’. Let me know if you girls have tried anything and if they work or not!

  1. Apply the mixture of honey and milk on the face . This will make your skin glow. Skin Care Tips
  2. Carrot juice applied daily fades blemishes.
  3. For a home spa facial, use water and powdered milk to make a thick paste and spread it on your face. Relax for 20 minutes until it dries, then rinse thoroughly. It will both clean and moisturize your face wonderfully. Not to mention the fact that you just sat and did nothing for 20 minutes…the relaxation aspect of facials is not to be underestimated. Many uses of milk powder!

BB cream craze!

Jialat… I just got introduced to the world of BB Cream, and I want it too!!! I’ve got Missha & Sasa near me… so… *hiak hiak hiak* =P

Copied from http://makeupforlife.blogspot.com

The BB Cream, aka Blemish Balm, is *the* hottest beauty product in Asia right now. The product was originated in Germany and used by dermatologists to help patients who have gone through laser skin surgery soothe and regenerate the skin.

Soon after, Korean celebs started using the cream and a craze was born. Big companies then took the idea and turned it into a product widely available to the public. The new product is suitable for all skin types, especially those with sensitive and acne-prone skin. It has the advantages of both a makeup and skincare product. It can even out skintone, camouflage undereye circles, acne scars and add radiance to the skin without the heavy mask-like effects of a foundation. Prolonged used of the product will also help improve the overall texture of the skin and fade acne scars.

my CNY nails!

020208-1.jpg020208-2.jpg020208-3.jpg020208-5.jpg

I just did my nails today and I’m really pleased with them! I came across this lady’s contact in one of the blogs that I’ve been reading, and decided to try her services out since she stays very near me, like 5-10mins drive away only. She does nails at her house, so her charges are really reasonable, cheap I’d say because she puts in a lot of effort in doing my nails!

Though I’m already 23 this year, but I’m still pretty much a big kid at heart, so I had cartoony designs drawn on my fingers. Haha. I love the bears on my thumbs!!! But yet I aspire to be a woman *vomits at such disgusting words*, so I had a slightly more mature design on my toes. =D

The lady’s name is Cynthia (96777776), and her place is at Upper Bt Timah. Call her if you’re interested to do your nails! I’m already thinking of doing nail extensions next time, and my next designs!

my DIY moisturizer!

my Garden of Wisdom package arrived this morning and as usual, i was all psyched up and couldn’t wait to play with my new stuff. i also received a free sample of Markey’s new product: strawberry sugar scrub. looks yummy… resembles strawberry jam!

i tried making my own moisturizer as mentioned in a previous entry. i creamed shea butter and an oil blend (from niks) together till the oil was properly incorporated and added in a few drops of lavender oil to musk the weird smell of shea butter. i’m still trying to find a way to make the cream lighter and less oily for when i tried it on my sis and myself, we found that while the mixture absorbed fast, there was still a layer of oil (not visible) left on our skin and it felt heavy. i don’t think i’ll be using it on my face anytime soon, but it just might be perfect for my sis to use on her body when she visits europe later this mth!
