Review: This is a follow up review from Cellnique’s Pro Sebum Gel (they have now repackaged it and are selling it under B.Liv brand name). I didn’t realise how bad my blackheads were when I stopped using Cellnique. And it was a silly reason for not using it – I didn’t like the brand name B.Liv and the childish packaging. I still prefer the previous elegant looking bottle.

Anyway, the product is still the same – transparent runny gel that spreads easily onto skin and absorbs quickly. There’s a cool sensation on skin, due to the peppermint oil. It dries matte so I can skip the powder if I want.

A few days after using OftH, I tried doing an extraction myself and the blackheads popped out easily, with nary a pressure! I had used the product for about a month when I went for a facial and I checked with the lady if I had a lot of blackheads. She said “no!”, so I was really pleased that the product worked. Usually, I would have many blackheads if I did not do my regular extractions.

Rating: 5/5

Would I buy again: Yes, if it is easily available

  1. Hi, totally agree with you. Tried the products and it works. After reading your reivew, I tried looking for it in Sa Sa again, and I found it. Instead of buying the product on its own, I opted for the value pack at RM 169 with consists of a Cleanser, Off with those Heads and a mask. So happy that I manage to save RM 60 from this value pack. :)

  2. hi there!i chanced upon your blog frm google.

i’m contemplating purchasing this product but i find it quite costly to pay $100 for 50ml.

How long do you think the product will last if I use twice daily?

    cheers!

    • Hello…

I’m using the 30ml and I reckon it can last me anywhere from 4-6 mths? You don’t have to use a lot when you get the blackheads under control! I use the gel twice a day when it gets really bad, or before a facial. Then just once a day for maintenance after that.

  3. i tried this too…quite nice at the first but after that it doesnt seems working on getting rid of the blackheads anymore…plus…quite costly…i heard that cellnique sebum gel is something similar too…anyone tried both products and feels like which is more outstanding???

    • Hi Tracie,

actually Cellnique & Bliv are manufactured by the same company… Cellnique is the brand name used by salons (professional care) whereas Bliv is the retail brand name.

I was using Cellnique when it was sold in stores, then later Bliv when the company stopped selling Cellnique in retail stores. Both work the same for me.
